Biddler (biddler.app) is a software tool that helps groups run timed auctions — for assigning rooms among roommates and for selling personal items to invited participants. By using Biddler you agree to these terms.
Auction results are agreements between participants. Rent amounts are paid to your landlord and item purchases are settled directly between participants (cash, Venmo, etc.). Biddler is not a party to those transactions, does not hold or transfer funds between participants, and is not responsible for whether participants honor auction results. The only payments Biddler collects are its own fees (for example, a fee to run an auction or an optional subscription), processed by Stripe.
Biddler calculates prices from the bids your group makes. You are responsible for confirming your group accepts the results. Biddler is not liable for disputes between roommates, participants, landlords, or buyers and sellers.
Fees are shown before purchase. If a technical failure on our side prevents a paid auction from running, contact biddler.app@gmail.com and we will make it right with a re-run or refund. Subscription cancellations take effect at the end of the current billing period.
You keep ownership of photos, videos, and text you add. You are responsible for having permission to use what you upload (including images of other people) and for what you share on social media. Don't upload unlawful content or content that infringes others' rights, including trademarked logos you're not licensed to use.
Don't use Biddler for anything unlawful, to harass others, or to run auctions for illegal items or for anything other than its intended personal, non-commercial purposes.
Biddler is provided "as is" without warranties. To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim.
We may update these terms and the service. Continued use after changes means you accept them. Material changes will be noted in the app.
