Biddler ("we," "us") operates the web application at biddler.app, which helps roommates assign rooms and auction personal items using timed auctions. Contact: biddler.app@gmail.com.
The current version of Biddler runs in your browser. Auction details you enter — names, room names and descriptions, rent amounts, bids, rankings, and any photos or videos you add — are processed on your device to run your auction and create your reveal video. We do not receive or store this content on our servers in the current version. When online features launch (invites, remote bidding, accounts), auction data and uploads will be stored on our servers to provide those features, and this policy will be updated.
Payments are processed by Stripe, Inc. We never see or store your full card details. Stripe's handling of your information is described in the Stripe Privacy Policy. We receive limited transaction information (such as your email and what you purchased) to provide the service you paid for.
Reveal videos are generated on your device. What appears in a video (names, faces, prices, school stamps) is controlled by the people in your auction through the app's opt-in settings. Once you download or share a video to social media, that platform's terms and privacy policy apply. Please get your roommates' permission before sharing content that identifies them.
Our hosting provider may collect standard server logs (IP address, browser type, pages visited) for security and performance. We do not sell personal information.
Biddler is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their information.
Because current auction data lives in your browser, clearing your browser data removes it. For any privacy question or request, email biddler.app@gmail.com.
